I've already cast my ballot here in Texas for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.  

The reason I'm mentioning it, is because The New England Journal of Medicine has broken their 200 year a-political stance and felt it important enough to tip their hat into the political ring this year. 

Also, because Scientific American has broken their 175 a-political stance to endorse Biden as well

If 2 of the most premier scientific outlets in the world felt it important enough to use their platform to speak up for the first time in literally centuries, than I must as well.

(Wall Street Journal) An order by the U.S. Postal Service to pull its uniformed police officers off city streets has sparked a legal battle pitting it against a police union, when the agency is already under scrutiny for delivery delays in a presidential election that could hang on mail-in ballots.

The agency’s unilateral order ended daily patrols meant to prevent robberies of blue collection boxes and mail vehicles, and has left letter carriers without escorts on unsafe routes in some of the nation’s biggest cities, according to interviews with police officers and union representatives opposed to the change and a copy of the directive, titled “Postal Police Utilization,” reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

Mail thieves, in the past, often targeted mail for credit cards and checks. Now, the postal police officers said the fear is that thieves also will get ballots, which could be ditched... click for full article

Contact your representative to support HR2382HR8015 and HR6800.

HR2382 repeals the requirement that the U.S. Postal Service annually prepay future retirement health benefits.

HR6800 - The Heroes Act includes 25 billion allocated to the USPS

HR8015 - This bill prohibits the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) from making changes to operations or levels of service from those that were in effect on January 1, 2020.

(Please note - these 3 bills have passed the House and are waiting on the Senate.)
