As you are aware the change of Federal Government have created opportunities to promote the restoration of the Northern Rivers Railway, particularly while media attention is focused on the long-term recovery of the region after the floods and the need for Public Rail Transport.

Northern Rivers Railway Action Group would like to remind you about our Annual General Meeting on the 18th July, 2022, 5.30pm at the Lismore Workers Sports Club, Oliver Ave Goonellabah.

Following that we’ll have a general meeting where we’ll have a presentation of a Business Plan for our railway line beginning with Mullumbimby to Byron. 

We will also discuss the new legislation that makes it easy for the Minister for Regional Transport to rip up any regional railway that is not currently in use. Our railway through Lismore is at risk.

Please contact these MPs to say we need rail services to help us get around after the terrible flooding in this area. We need to convince Labor to vote against this bill.
