The Stag - New Planning Application - Please Object

Thanks again for your support with this petition. As you know we successfully nominated the building as an Asset of Community Value in the summer which gave it a temporary lifeline and stopped the imminent demolition. A new planning application has been submitted which threatens the building again - an application to change the use of the upper floors (currently staff accommodation for the Landlord) to a residential flat. Whilst this might seem immaterial, it's an easy route for a developer to establish a change of use on the property allowing them to reapply and probably demolish the building for a tower further down the line. Aside from demolition, to lose the staff accommodation would threaten the pubs viability moving forward. If you are a Wandsworth resident and have any interest in this, I would ask you to comment/object to the planning application (needs to be done this week by the 24th December - non Wandsworth residents can't object unfortunately) - the more objections we get, the more likely the Council are to refuse the application. We can then hopefully look forward to the building operating in its intended use, as a pub. The link to the planning application is below and application number is 2017/6397 on the council website.
