The Garden Bridge 'Trust' needs to discharge several planning conditions before construction can begin and we intend to persuade Lambeth councillors that this private development is unwanted, unnecessary and a waste of public money. Don't forget to keep spreading the word about the petition and write to Lambeth council's leader Lib Peck lpeck@lambeth.gov.uk with your concerns e.g. the overcrowding, destruction of treasured views, burden to the public purse, undemocratic and corrupt way the whole project has come about - or all of the above. Lib Peck could've stopped the project dead but she allowed the Garden Bridge Trust's group of multi-millionaire chums to proceed with squandering public funds disguised as a sham 'loan'. Coin Street Community Builders could similarly stop the project by refusing to allow a variation of their lease of the South Bank land that is need by the Garden Bridge Trust to develop upon.
