The funding for the skatepark seems to have now been pushed into a play park which will be used by far, far less people in the community. I'm not 100% sure on this but as we are told we now aren't getting the skatepark, this pops up and has the same team (groundwork east) working on it. Tweens and teens have nothing local to do and as a dad myself, all my son wants is a good skatepark in his hometown, the play parks are plentiful in town and to scrap funding for something that's for a variety of ages (from 4-60+) to add something we have an abundance of for one small age group doesn't seem fair or wise to me.
