Dear Supporters, 

I met this AM with Commissioner of Monmouth County and many local, state and federal officials. Walter and I can declare victory as far as Change.org is concerned and end the petition, as the 500 plus names I submitted (over 300 from Monmouth County) was impressive and well received. Citizens of NJ and Internationally showed their support for Saving the Shark River. The DOT official and others made great points, and I was well educated. This was the first step in the process of dredging the river and back bay area. There is more to do, but I left the meeting optimistic that the wheels are in motion and that it would be a priority. Many people at this round table were concerned and it was good to see. Funding is always problematic, but there was a potential solution to that as well. Each problem has a major thought process behind it and I was glad to hear all that Commissioner Arnone, and officials have done and are willing to continue to do. 

Thank you so much for your support and concern. It went a long way and was exactly what was necessary to show that citizens are concerned on all levels.
