URGENT ACTION: Linlithgow Academy Catchment Consultation

Anne SchwarzingerLinlithgow, SCT, United Kingdom
Oct 5, 2026

PLEASE DO TWO QUICK THINGS BY 5.00PM ON FRIDAY 9 OCTOBER 2026:

  1.  Respond to the consultation!
  2. Tell us why you signed

Hello,

Thank you so much for signing the petition to keep the secondary school catchment for Bridgend, Philpstoun and Threemiletown unchanged. Well over 200 of you have signed, which is a fantastic show of support!

Here's the important bit: the council has told us the petition will count as ONE response to the consultation. Every individual written response is counted, so we urge each and every one of you to respond directly. Parents, grandparents, family and friends - everyone counts!

PLEASE DO TWO QUICK THINGS BY 5.00PM ON FRIDAY 9 OCTOBER 2026:

1. Respond to the consultation!

Email your own response, in your own words, to: education.consultation@westlothian.gov.uk

A few lines on why you want the catchment boundary to stay as it is is plenty. If it helps, you're welcome to use our email templates and personalise them:

The consultation closes at 5.00pm on Friday 9 October 2026, so please send your response before then.

2. Tell us why you signed as soon as possible

Email: linlithgow.academy.consultation@gmail.com and let us know which describes you:
- A parent of a child (or children) currently affected - please say how many
- A parent of a child in nursery, not yet at school, who was expecting to attend Linlithgow Academy
- A supporter: family, friend, worried about house prices, or unhappy with the realignment of catchment areas

If we can show the petition was signed on behalf of the majority of affected children, it will carry real weight with the council.

Thank you again for your support - please forward this to anyone else who signed or who you think would help.

Best wishes,
Bridgend, Philpstoun & Threemiletown Campaign Team
