My name is Alexandra, and I'm on the Civic Engagement team at Change.org. Our team works to connect petition starters and supporters with the public officials who have the power to act on the issues you care about. 

I reached out to several directors at the Arizona Department of Agriculture (AZDA) regarding this petition about the Salt River wild horses. They shared that, due to ongoing federal court proceedings, they have been advised not to participate in public comment on this matter at this time.

However, they directed constituents to the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group (SRWHMG) as the appropriate organization to contact for more information, given that they were awarded the AZDA Contract for the New Herd Management Plan. They emphasized that SRWHMG can provide details on current herd management practices and the humane standards being followed.
