The infiltrated and conflict of interest boardrooms for want of a better description, pontificated views and decisions by those charged under an Act of Parliament to deliver in the protection and enhancement of our fisheries, has and is delivering the demise, totally against that direction of the law of the land, now to almost extinction of our Salmonid species, especially in Wales, and now the rest of the UK, reportedly announcing that Salmon are now an endangered species.
Is it any wonder, let us evaluate and summarise yet again the reason for this. Local Fisheries area's led and protected by experienced personnel, through amalgamation of Fisheries with ring fenced financial funding, firstly into the Environment Agency and then into Natural Resources Wales with their leaders catching the ring fenced fisheries funding and directing this funding into other area's, a fine example was to send Fisheries Staff on crash courses on 'Fly Tipping' and then directing that staff off the rivers onto those duties and others to duties in order fulfil the needs of 'Scientific Research' personnel, and those experienced 'Fisheries Personnel' who questioned and complained were silenced and eventually lost through natural wastage and that of early retirement packages. At the same time and during this same period avoiding the complaints raised by fishery owners regarding 'Avian Predation' in a kick the can down the road action plan and at the same time closing down all the salmonid fish rearing hatcheries, including the private ones, also at the same time creating, 'River Trusts' throughout Wales who have a view on totally rewilding everything. It hasn't happened overnight, but drip fed out in an attempt to avoid detection by the majority of those who would be concerned.
Universities are producing more and more academics in this field when there are little or no more room or jobs for them, so their academic counterparts from within are creating these 'Trusts' and developing positions to create employment for them, a case of the pontificated leading the pontificated, quite a mind blowing situation, whilst expertly educating them in the art of extracting public money form various sources to fund their employment, sometimes at extortionate rates. All the information is there available to those who can be bothered to search for it.
Scientific Research and enquiry after enquiry has not put one extra fish in our rivers, these researchers avoid addressing matters of importance such as 'Avian Predation' (infiltrated conflict of interest) amongst other realities such as the period between 1920 and 1981 and those results, times of plenty, and it is becoming abundantly clear that there is a conflict of interest within which drive the avoidance of addressing the situation, that which is clearly unhealthy, and it must stop.
Infiltrated, conflict of interest, yes, absolutely.
