The very organisations that refused to support the views of the meeting that N.R.W. called in 2022 attended by both Nature England and Nature Scotland, regarding Goosanders and Cormorants and their effect on Salmonids and other fish in our Welsh Fisheries, are the R.S.P.B and Ornithological Society. It would appear through the freedom of information request that the R.S.P.B had arranged and had culled 475 Foxes and 500 Crows on R.S.P.B. reserves, in addition to the reported 6000 plus Ruddy Ducks, on sites across Wales, England and Scotland, their views on the Stoat population on Orkney and their access to lottery funding of another 8 million pounds in addition to the initial 8 million they received to eradicate them, together with the views portrayed by the Wildlife Trust against Muntjac Deer on their land which are a threat to ground nesting birds, the R.S.P.B giving a slideshow extolling the virtues of Cormorants whilst saying what terrible things Muntjac Deer are, rings of hypocrisy, in fact total hypocrisy, what about our native Kingfishers and Herons, and it matters not about the damage to fisheries by Goosanders and Cormorants, look at this weeks update picture.

It would appear that the purpose of their drive is to end 'Countryside Pursuits' as we know it, Fishing and Shooting, in order to gain free access to all lands and rivers, what other reasonable explanation can there be.

Entering into my 76th year I am one of the lucky ones to have experienced the times of plenty on the Salmonid front, yes times of plenty and on the Shooting front which is also under threat, until the infiltration of organisations by well educated academics with little or no practical experience of Fisheries or the management of the land for Shooting, they are hell bent on bullying our way of life into insignificance, together with the loss of the Wildlife we have cared for and nurtured for many years. Their rewilding schemes are only creating predation corridors and will lead to the failure in the protection of wildlife as we know it. What about this theory, encouraged to plant more trees, release more Beavers to cut them down again?.

Over 4000 votes now and growing on a daily basis, now if each of you can engage in recruiting ONE more supporter of the cause, it will be 8000 in no time at all and on the way to a successful conclusion that can be taken forward in the fight for the survival of our very important cause. Thank you all for your continued support.

This weeks picture, when the fish are gone they will predate on water birds, like this poor Moorhen.

Seasons Greetings.
