Plans for the RKO site change but your help is still needed

Plans for the RKO theater site have been changing. Pressure has paid off and the landmarked lobby of the theater will be available to the public and the non-landmarked facade will be rebuilt. Other non-landmarked elements will be incorporated into a hotel at the site and/or may be donated to local organizations. There will even be space for comminity nonprofits. Still, this a hotel and luxury condo (with no affordable housing) not the historic theater we need.

There is a Community Board 7 meeting this week regarding permits for the developer of the RKO site. Let CB7 know what you want, call them and email all week:
