ATTEND CONSERVATION COMM. MEETING THIS WEEK (7/14)

(1) A meeting of the Arlington Conservation Commission will be held this Thursday, July 14th, beginning at 8:30 p.m. @ Town Hall Annex, 730 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA. The entrance and parking is off Academy Street. THIS MEETING MAY DETERMINE THE FATE OF THESE TREES. PLEASE ATTEND THIS VERY IMPORTANT MEETING IF AT ALL POSSIBLE FOR YOU. (2) If you have seen any wildlife on or near the dawn redwoods in Magnolia Park, please share your experience directly with Cori Beckwith of the Conservation Commission at cbeckwith@town.arlington.ma.us (please copy and paste the email rather than merely clicking on the link). The Department's arguments are provided here: http://www.arlingtonma.gov/home/showdocument?id=30527 (4) So far one member of the Save Arlington Redwood has borne all the costs to create the flyers, posters and the packets of statements sent to town officials (about $210 in total). Additional cost is expected. To reimburse this individual we will be adding a fundraiser later today to this site. More details will be provided then (such as what will happen to any excess funds).
