Dear Supporters.
Firstly, i wanted to send my utmost appreciation and thanks for your support to keep our beautiful Pony Club Grounds. Some of the comments have literally moved me to tears, and its been fantastic to see our community band together and share memories. From the non-horsey, dog walkers, eltham mums, to ex club members, current club members and even Founders and Presidents, everyone has been able to share their views and their memories of horses at Eltham Lower Park.
BUT! it doesnt end here. The current ' community consultation ' is, according to the council what they will use to gage the communities desires. It is quite telling that the community consultation doesn't give ANY options to comment about the Pony Club Grounds staying, only on what kind of dog park we would like. So that makes it hard to tell the council and partly why this petition was created. To give those who haven't been given that option, their opportunity to say what they want - the pony club grounds to remain at Eltham Lower Park.
But we need EVERYONE who has signed to head over to the ' participate nillumbik' webpage and fill in the survey. Please answer NO to all questions and in the further information boxes please share your views in regards to the Pony Club Grounds.

There is a simple example also shared on the petition page if that helps.
This is how we can make the BIGGEST impact.
In other news, i presented the case to ABC Radio Melbourne, Drive with Ally Moore, who seemed very interested/confused that the community had not been consulted on wether to demolish the pony club. Indeed it does seem to be very telling that signs have appeared around Eltham Lower park indicating ' a dog park is coming ' ... one must wonder why council are even asking our views on the dog park if its already a ' done deal ' ?????
I had a lovely evening at the park, chatting to various dog walkers and their families, it was heartwarming to hear that they support us, do not wish for change and are happy to continue sharing the space as we already do. It was lovely to see the kids and dogs all playing together. Thank you to the dog walkers for their kind words!
Many thanks to every one again - we are hoping to be down at the park this weekend with the kids and their ponies - please stop by to say hi!
