Both myself and Mayor Maria McFaddin were interviewed by CBC Radio Kelowna last week on the save the Pioneer effort and the new building plans.  Both at the city council meeting and in this interview, Mayor McFaddin confirmed that there is no approved funding currently allocated to demolish the Pioneer Arena or build either the new doctor's offices or the apartment building.  If no grant funds are received from the BC government, then the decision to open the Pioneer Arena for the 2024/25 season will be discussed by the Castlegar City Council.  So there is still hope!
