Thank you everyone for signing the petition to stop the extinction of orcas. As we continue this vital campaign we will be presenting important, detailed information to the Ministers to implement under the Species at Risk Act (SARA) Emergency Order for these trans boundary orcas. This includes increasing marine wildlife protection and enforcement in Canada and also the US where the orcas travel. Recently the Canadian government said they will increase “research” funding BUT we do not need any further harassment of orcas subjected to more field studies. The scientific proof of what is threatening their survival and recovery has been known for years. The orcas immediately need the SARA Emergency Order actions and enforcement by government agencies!
