Hello Supporters of the #SavetheNickelPlate campaign! With nearly 1,400 supporters at this point, it's become apparent that the Nickel Plate Road rail line is a vibrant and beloved part of our communities. We've had many of you ask if you can donate to the cause, so we've setup a fundraising page for anyone who would like to do so. All you have to do is go to the main petition page and click the red "View Fundraiser" on the upper right. ALL DONATIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS PREVENTING THE NICKEL PLATE ROAD FROM BEING RIPPED UP. How would we spend donated funds? - Obtaining legal counsel - Advertising our cause via social media to affected community members - Creating awareness in the local communities via print literature, radio commercials, TV commercials, and other forms of notification - Administrative costs (if any) of additional, dedicated personnel, equipment, materials, etc... LEFTOVER FUNDS WILL BE DONATED BACK TO A LOCAL NICKEL PLATE ROAD ORGANIZATION. Transparency of these funds is our utmost priority and goal.
