I know it’s been a while since I sent you all an update but I also know there has been a large amount of speculation about the precise location of the New Hospital site, on social media, in recent days and weeks.

I urge all of you to sign up to the official updates from the hospital team here. This will ensure you get the info from the horse’s mouth. I also try to post updates in my newsletter which you can sign up to here. 

From the most recent hospital update, the new site has not been publicly confirmed. This is an important part of the process as such a large and important piece of infrastructure is commercially sensitive. If the process were not tightly controlled it would be even longer and outcomes potentially not as good as they could be. I appreciate this can be frustrating, as people want to know where this important new hospital will be, but I believe selecting a proper site, followed by extensive public consultation and planning will mean this hospital will serve our community well into the future AND be an integrated part of the area’s public health for generations. 

I will endeavour to keep you, and the other 10,000 people who signed this petition, up to date with the latest about the hospital.
