Hello all,
The development application proposed next to the Mount Barker Community Library providing no extra parking to cater for its new elements, leading to an inevitable use of library and TAFE SA parking in Mount Barker, South Australia - has been recommended for approval by the Mount Barker District Council.
So, please continue to share this petition further - and get as many people to sign as possible!
I will be presenting to the Mount Barker District Council, Council Assessment Panel on Wednesday 19th November 2025 at 9.30am at the Mount Barker District Council office, 6 Dutton Road Mount Barker, so all people wanting to attend - please do so.
I've also written to State MP's to take further action with about two-three sitting weeks left in parliament in South Australia before the next State Election.
The lack of action and leadership from the Mount Barker District Council and elected members on this matter, alongside the State Government has been appalling and that is an understatement - so we need to get as much support from others as possible.
Please contact elected members and others also for further action -

2 - Mount Barker District Council - https://www.mountbarker.sa.gov.au/council
3 - Blair Boyer (Responsible for TAFE SA) - https://www.premier.sa.gov.au/the-team/blair-boyer-mp

5 - Bradley Orr, Liberal for Kavel - https://www.facebook.com/liberalkavel/
6 - Matt Schultz, Independent for Kavel - https://www.facebook.com/kavelmattschultz
As Mount Barker's population increases by 900 people per year and library use is consistently on the rise, we need to protect the library parking in Mount Barker for community, not commercial use.
Thank you very much.
