When we (our community) fought for, and won, the battle to protect 25 acres of open space along Modoc Road from development "forever" and "in perpetuity" back in 1999...we had no idea that we would be donning our battle armor for a new fight 23 years later, to save what we already thought was legally saved...we thought that it was "settled law"...

Well...here we are in 2022 asking for your support again...
BTW, Mahalo to the over 360 supporters so far...

Big picture, we are asking for time and due process for public input before $5.35MM in funds are spent unnecessarily destroying 63 trees and the environment...violating the agreement to "preserve and protect the conservation value of natural, open space, scenic and wildlife habitat conditions"...

Before we get into the weeds of native/non-native flora...fire safety...bike safety...alternate routes...etc...discussions, which are distractions...it is important to also remember that battles were fought so that we can live in a democracy...

We hope and pray that the decision makers will play fair with us and open this discussion up to folks with viewpoints like us...

In the meantime...we are calling...
