Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign to save our much-valued Post Office in Central Milton Keynes. I’d like to update you on the current developments:

A new operator, Eliot Jacobs, is set to take over the running of the Milton Keynes Central Post Office this autumn. I see this as a crucial moment for the future of our much-loved branch, and I’m taking steps to ensure that the needs of our community are front and centre.

I’ve requested a meeting with Mr Jacobs to discuss three key priorities: keeping the Post Office in its current central location, retaining the brilliant staff who bring real social value to the branch, and maintaining the Post Office as a vital local hub for our city.

Looking ahead, staff will go through a consultation process, and we’ll know more once that has concluded later this year. At this stage, no changes are anticipated before Christmas. If there is any suggestion of moving the branch, I will insist on a full public consultation so your voices are heard.

I will continue working closely with the Post Office and my constituents to ensure that the Milton Keynes Central Post Office remains where it belongs - at the heart of our community.
