The petition to save the majestic Sequoia at Centennial Square has garnered 1167 signatures in only a week!

Please join us at a rally for to save the tree on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3 p.m. in Centennial Square.

Let's show our support, not only for these three trees, but also to let all municipalities know trees are important to us.

We want to see every serious alternative explored to keep them standing."

Five years ago, when the city removed another popular tree, former CTMN member Mariann Burka made a list of recommendations to the city, to ensure staff and council would explore every other alternative to tree removal, and provide transparency about their process.

Going forward, people might wish to press the city for assurance they will follow these recommendations.

With enough momentum, this mighty tree can be saved!!!!!!!!!!!
