More and more cities are passing resolutions and writing to Sutter Health pressing for the Mickelson therapy pool to be reopened. If you live in any of the cities that have passed resolutions or written to Sutter on our behalf, please thank your councilmembers. You can see all of the resolutions and letters on our website at https://warmwaterwellness.org/community-support.

Half Moon Bay

The Half Moon Bay City Council passed a resolution in support of reopening the Mickelson therapy pool. On 7/22/22, they sent a letter with their resolution directly to Sutter Health Corporate Interim CEO James Conforti.

Hillsborough

On 8/8/22, the Hillsborough City Council also passed a resolution supporting our cause.

This brings our current resolution count to 10 governmental agencies.

San Carlos

On 8/8/22, the San Carlos City Council unanimously authorized for the mayor to send a letter in support of reopening the therapy pool directly to Sutter Health Corporate Interim CEO Conforti. They also issued a press release. You can read the article below.

Continued support from San Mateo County Supervisor Canepa

Supervisor David Canepa sent an excellent letter on 7/12/22 to Sutter Health CEO Conforti in support of our goals. It is well worth the read.

Following the 7/24/22 Mickelson rally, Supervisor Canepa requested that Sutter Health executives meet with him, Warm Water Wellness representatives, members of the Peninsula Health Care District, and various Mickelson therapy pool stakeholders. Sutter responded that they would only meet privately with the Supervisor if he would exclude all the other parties from the meeting. We appreciate that Supervisor Canepa declined any meeting that did not include Warm Water Wellness representatives and other parties.
