Our Petition Is Being Heard: Highlights from the 20 October Meeting

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Tuesday 20th October for the Box Hill Brickworks Parkland Association meeting.

It was a wonderful evening and fantastic to see state election candidates from across the political spectrum come together to discuss the future of the Brickworks site.

Our wonderful Mayor, Cr Kirsten Langford, alongside her fellow councillors, shared inspiring words of support reinforcing how vital green open space is to Box Hill’s future and the unique opportunity offered by the Brickworks site.

We were privileged to be joined by:

·         Paul Hamer MP (Labor Party)

·         Sally Houguet (Liberal Party)

·         Aaron Qin (The Greens)

·         Heena Cheung (Independent)

·         Jamie Baker (One Nation)

The candidates all expressed their positions clearly and with great respect to each other.

We are truly fortunate to have over 8,000 supporters on our petition, united as one in advocating for this new park in Box Hill. Thank you for standing with us.

Finally, best wishes to all the candidates in the upcoming election campaign as they engage with our community.

Kind regards,
Vincent, Greg, and the Box Hill Brickworks Parkland Association
