They’ve moved the goalposts again - Box Hill Brickworks update

But we need you again; please keep sharing the petition.

Here’s what’s happening:

• The state government’s advisory committee is running hearings right now. We’re listed for Tuesday 21 October.
  
  
• Behind the scenes, the Suburban Rail Loop Authority and Phileo (the developer) have met and agreed on a new plan - to have buildings up to 10 storeys with taller buildings (with no height limit) in the middle of the site. Before the hearings began, the plans advertised to the public were for a fixed 5-6 storey (21m) height limit across the whole site.
  
  
• The new plan also shows Mont Albert Road slicing straight through the site. Originally a curved walking and cycling path was proposed, not a major road link.
  
  
• The plan still fails to show public open space on the site.

So the bar just got raised again, midway through the public hearings.
