Dear friends and supporters of the Tamarind Tree!

We have great news! With more than 4000 signatures collected online and around 400 physical signatures (collected across concerts, weddings and street side meetings in Kolkata), we have convinced the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and the Forest Department of the historic and ecological significance of this tree. 

They have assured us that the tree will be protected and a monument to the memory of Parul Mukherjee erected at the site!
