Thank you for signing this petition to save St. Joseph's Historic Church in Sea Isle City, NJ. We would like to update you with the latest information. Despite multiple attempts to reach a compromise, the historic church is in danger of being razed. This past Sunday, the Pastor read a "Decree of Relegation of St. Joseph Church to profane but not sordid use (http://www.stjosephsic.org/decree-of-relegation/ ." Essentially, this makes the church no longer scared, thus able to be demolished.
WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME.
Attached is a template to print out and send to the Bishop.
If you want to save this church, which is one of the only remaining Sea Isle treasures left, PLEASE consider taking the time to fill out this letter. Include your name and address in the space provided.
Letters have to be in the Bishops possession by FEBRUARY 20TH. The USPS website states letters usually take 1-3 business days to arrive, this requires immediate action. FAX the letters if you are reading this and have doubts that your mail will arrive in time. FAX LINE 856 963 2655
Strength in numbers will go a long way. The more letters the Bishop's office receives, the better. Every single voice counts here and this is our last shot at being heard.
Fr. Perreault has manipulated the narrative to the Bishop suggesting only a small number of people want the church saved, which could not be further from the truth.
