Hello Broadview Park and surrounding areas,

We have brought back our petition, once again, due to the City of Fort Lauderdale taking land within our community and turning it into MORE HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS.  They want to take away our "Lungs" and build, build, build.  

Although the terms have changed, the premise is still the same.  They have changed from 800-1000 units, to just short of 500.  Will the zoning change?  YES.  Is that the biggest issue?  NO.  The issue is we have enough concrete and buildings.  We have had enough of killing our green space and what resides within it.  

To add to the insult, our Meadowbrook Elementary School is already over capacity at 106%.  

We STILL respectfully demand that our local leaders:

-reject the proposed development on this site

-identify alternative locations that do not involve sacrificing the environmental or community assets

-Engage the community in a transparent planning process to preserve open space while addressing housing needs.  

PROTECT OUR LUNGS!!!!
