A victory for people power! On Monday night at The Garrick Theatre, Lichfield, Council Leader Doug Pullen announced that the Friary Grange Leisure Centre will remain open, and plans will be considered to build a new leisure centre. Thank you to everyone who signed our petition, promoted the campaign, and attended on Monday night. There are two things we now need to do: 1. Use Friary Grange - to all Lichfield residents, please use this fantastic facility or risk losing it again. 2. We are now forming a local group called "Friends of Friary Grange" to support the council in increasing usage of the current centre, and developing plans for a new leisure centre in Lichfield.
