The wheels of city government move slow, but they are moving!! It has been over 7 months since we lost our beloved Beach Volleyball Courts and Fairview has not been the same. We presented this petition to the Fairview City Council 6 months ago to try to save the Sand Courts. At that time, a group our supporters spoke before the Council to explain how important the Beach Courts was to our community. We made a strong impact and received positive support from the City Council and the Mayor, but were told this would have to go through the Parks and Recreation Board for it to be considered and budgeted for in order to be re built by the city. We have been waiting for the Parks Board to meet, and finally a meeting has been scheduled and they did not forget us!! #5 on the Agenda is "Consider and discuss beach volleyball courts." ... This is our one last chance to bring Beach Volleyball back to Fairview, so if you can possibly attend the meeting Monday, October 17 at 7 pm to show your support, we can make a positive impact on our community and what we all want it to be! We understand this is short notice, but this is something very important to all of us. We have not given up and have worked very hard to restore Beach Volleyball in Fairview, but we need your help to show the Parks and Recreation Board how important the Beach Volleyball Courts was to our community!!
