Petition updateSave The Eagles Request Charlotte City Council VOTE NO on Rea Road RezoningThe Cost of More Traffic in Charlotte

This morning the bodies of two geese, a racoon and a deer lay on the sides of Rea Road between 485 and Pineville Matthews Road.

A sad fact is that spring is a tough time for Charlotte's Wildlife as Rea Road becomes a highway of death for animals big and small.

The 1.85 miles stretch of four lane divided highway should not become a killing field for our non-human residents.

Unfortunately drivers are often driving as much as 25 miles an hour over the 40 MPH posted speed limit.

Adding the additional stress of 640 new apartments and another 4,000 cars daily will just increase the carnage.

We Need Your Attendance & Support !!!!

Rea Road Gillespie Property City Council Rezoning RZP 2022-121 - Public Hearing

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center

600 East 4th Street Charlotte, North Carolina 28202

Your Voice will tell Charlotte City Council that Traffic is already crazy - adding another 4,000+ cars a day to Rea Road from a Big Box" Apartment Complex is insane!

Because our time is limited, what Charlotte City Council sees may be more important than what they hear, therefore it is imperative that we fill the Charlotte City Council chambers with people who care about traffic safety and oppose this rezoning request.

We ask that everyone arrive early. Parking is provided at 232 S Davidson St Charlotte, NC 28202 directly across from the Government Center.

We realize this is a big request the day after St. Patrick's Day and just as our Carolina Spring gets under way, but three hours of your time is far better than a lifetime of regret if we don’t show Charlotte City Council our resolve and unwavering opposition to this project.

We hope to see you on Monday!
