We've had a great start, thank you for your support!  We're looking to make as strong a case as possible and are now aiming for 10,000 signatures.  Please help us to achieve this goal by encouraging at least one fellow Canadian to sign who has not yet signed.  And if you are able to contribute to support Change.org's promotion of this petition, please consider it -- even $10 will go a long way.

This petition will tell the Canadian government that DFL is important, not just for the Canadian space industry, but as one big example of how our government needs to make the Canadian economy a priority.  Let's tell them that cutting key high-tech facilities like DFL is damaging to Canada's economic future and global competitiveness.  We need longer term thinking to maximize return on investment for Canadians.  Modest strategic spending on DFL, as an economic multiplier, is more effective than big spending on one-time programs and excessive bureaucracy.  Cutting specialized national service facilities like DFL to save $1 now will jeopardize $20 in economic activity that would have generated $3 in tax revenue.  It's a lose-lose for government and for industry.

Once we lose a facility like DFL, it will be nearly impossible to recover the capability in the future!  Please encourage your fellow Canadians to sign this petition today!
