A community member needs our support, and I hope you will take a moment to help.

You may remember Kelly Baker from a recent petition update, he’s a 71-year-old, lifelong fisherman from South Indian Lake, Manitoba.

Kelly has fought back against Manitoba Hydro since the 1970s. He now feels defeated and as though Manitoba Hydro has won. His daughters are very concerned to see him feeling this way. 

He’s had to relocate and rebuild his cabin many times after they’ve been destroyed. He’s lost boats, fishing equipment, and all the contents of his cabin time and time again. 

Can you imagine having to start anew so many times? All while the company responsible continues with its destruction. 

Kelly needs to know that people from across the country are fighting for him. He needs our support and encouragement. 

Will you send a message of support to Kelly? Let him know that he’s in your thoughts, that you are standing with him and the entire community of South Indian Lake, and that you won’t back down until Manitoba Hydro is held accountable. If we all come together, we can help Kelly feel like he isn’t alone.
