Thank you so much for signing the SaveChaps petition asking Six Flags to keep the beloved antique cars. This has become increasingly urgent.
The park leadership has continued planning for and advertising the new dinosaur ride. A Jurassic safari would be laughably out of place for the area’s old west theme. But far more importantly, they clearly don’t care about the park’s remarkable history.
A dinosaur walk-through exhibit could be added in other places around the park (in between Judge Roy Scream and Bugs Bunny Boomtown, or next to the Speelunker gazebo, for example). But instead, Six Flags flippantly decided that it would be better to remove its second-oldest ride – a ride cherished by generations of park guests. This misguided attempt to obliterate an established attraction is extraordinarily short-sighted.
We’re about to witness the extinction of the Chaparral Antique Cars and the time to speak up is NOW.
