Ground Petition: The purpose of this petition is to let Mayor McDermott and the Common Council know that we want to keep the Briar East dune woodlands intact and free from development. We asked the mayor, the city council, and the planning commission to devise an alternate, more pragmatic route for the train crossing that does not entail leveling the Dune woodlands and addresses additional significant issues, that the current plan does not. We asked the city to formally make our dune woodland a park preserved and perpetuity for the residents and now and for the future generations.
This is now our primary petition. It is consistent with the online version here. We feel it gets more to the point and is easier to use.
Good things are happening friends. There is significant progress being made. We now have council members on our side. Keep up the great work and spread the word. We're going to win this one!
