SAVE THE PROGRAM FOR SURVIVORS OF TORTURE (PSOT)
When one door closes, thousands of lives collapse. Let's not allow that.

A decision that puts human lives at risk
Today, a devastating decision threatens the Program for Survivors of Torture (PSOT).
Health and Hospitals, through Bellevue Hospital, has chosen to relocate the program and suspend all funding and human resources.

This is not a simple administrative change.
👉 It is a brutal disruption.
👉 It is a deliberate abandonment.
👉 It is a silent sentence imposed on already vulnerable lives.

30 years of humanity at stake
For three decades, PSOT has been more than a program:
It has been a lifeline for those broken by trauma and violence.

Over 6,000 immigrants have rebuilt their lives thanks to it, receiving:

Safe and dignified support
Legal and administrative assistance
Family reunification
Training and employment pathways
Critical psychological care
And above all, comprehensive physical, emotional, and mental health support
PSOT does more than treat wounds.
It heals lives.
It restores dignity.
It rebuilds hope.

Shutting it down means destroying futures
Closing PSOT would:
❌ Abandon the most vulnerable
❌ Shatter recovery journeys
❌ Create deep, irreversible human suffering

The consequences will be devastating, widespread, and irreversible.

We refuse to stay silent
We cannot stand by while something so vital disappears.

Our demands are urgent and justified:

Keep PSOT at Bellevue Hospital
Immediately restore its funding
Retain its full staff
Ensure continuity of its services
Officially recognize its irreplaceable role
Because defending PSOT means defending humanity
A society is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable.

Mental health, emotional support, and inclusion are not optional.
👉 They are fundamental rights.
👉 They are moral obligations.
👉 They define our humanity.

THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW
Your signature can change a life.
Your voice can save thousands.

👉 Sign now.
👉 Share widely.
👉 Stand up. Save PSOT.

This is because

One signature = one life protected.
Silence kills. Sign for PSOT.
PSOT is not optional. It's essential.
Denying PSOT is denying humanity.
They survived torture. Don't abandon them now.
