Dear Friends of Patterson Farm,

Please participate in tonight’s important Ad Hoc Property Committee meeting and make your voice heard for farm preservation. (Instructions for joining the meeting are included above).

Talking points for public comment:

• Support a Farmland Preservation easement for acreage that remains vulnerable to conversion (approximately 38 acres of PRIME Pennsylvania farmland).
• Ask that our local tenant farmers be provided access to the barns and outbuildings to support their agricultural work. (They are currently locked out of the barns).
• Support our proposed Patterson Agriculture and Heritage Center, to restore historic Satterthwaite House and Patterson Farm, while keeping costs to taxpayers low, and protecting historic assets and sensitive wildlife habitat areas.
• Oppose non-agricultural development within our Agricultural Security Area.

Patterson Farm is in its 340th year in agriculture. Decisions made today will impact whether the farm remains viable for food production in the future. YOUR input can protect the farms’ important history, natural resources, and our domestic food supply. We owe it to future generations to steward Patterson Farm thoughtfully.
