There are no words to express the gratitude felt for the overwhelming support received from across the world on this initiative. On November 1, 2018 the Town of Kippens, NL made a public announcement to advise of three (3) motions passed; 1) The council moved to rescind the Aucoin Family Farm removal orders issued Oct. 15, 2018. 2) The council rescinded removal orders issued to the Schoefer family regarding their horses from July 2018 (Walter Schoefer Sr. had horses prior to incorporation of Town). 3) The town council will hold public consultations about zoning limitations for farming and agriculture to ascertain public interest. The decisions of the Kippens Town Council is significant for not only these families, but all residents of the community. Moving forward, I hope elected officials can uphold the objectives of the town plan, and the commitments made to the residents. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this campaign through signing, sharing, writing letters, gathering information, or even just following. Together we have made history!!!
