Petition updateSave Teachbeach = Toronto's cleanest beachSummertime in November

One of the things we really love about Teachbeach is the warm microclimate created by the natural South-facing wend shelter being right behind a bluff/cliff/embankment and protected on either side by large headlands, with the beach nicely inset with a large landmass to the North.  This creates a warm calm meditative atmosphere that doesn't exist elsewhere in Toronto.  The feeling is warm and cozy even well into November, with lots of people coming to swim today right up to sunset.

Unbounded even came to do some promotional photography.  I really love what that group does, and if you want an intro to cold-water swimming, @stayunbounded is a great place to start.  They often organize large group swims with thousands of people entering the lake together.

The other wonderful thing about this beach is the natural wildlife.  It feels like we're in the "hills of the North" out in the wilderness, with some of the bird species that inhabit this magical place.

We came for a swim and stayed for sunbathing and birdwatching for the whole day today!
