Planning meeting now set for Tues Sept 13th

Just to update you on this planning application. Since the launch of the petition just over a week ago we have reached 1,315 signatures a big thanks to all of you. However the council have dodged having to debate the petition by including the planning proposal in the planning committee agenda to be voted on Tuesday Sept 13th. The planning committee are aware of the petition but do not have to take it into account. They will vote on Tuesday evening for or against. We have no automatic right to address the meeting. That means the planning committee will decide  the outcome (to which there is no appeal if approved) (though oddly if they reject it the applicant can appeal ) Now I’m not normally a cynical person but does anyone else think that’s maybe a bit more than coincidence? Mmmm….  So a slight change in tactic is required to ensure those on the planning committee understand and  hear our view we plan to attend the meeting in person and lobby (peacefully) just in case there are any doubt as to our aim. From 17.00hrs onwards meeting starts at 18.00 It’s a public meeting so all of us have the right to attend and if any of you feel you would like to join us you would be very welcome.
