Save-a-Dog Scheme (SADS), the importance of saving our community's no-kill shelter and our petition has been covered by the Herald Sun today.

Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition, shared it, and chipped in to help change.org promote it - it's making a huge difference.
Thank you also to all the people who have reached out to Stonnington Councillors directly.
Hopefully Councillors will vote against the Council Officers recommendation to award the tender for its Animal Management Services to the Lost Dogs Home, or at least delay making a decision and support deferring it at tonight's meeting so they have more time to ask questions and to look for other options rather than just defaulting to the Lost Dogs Home.
There's still some time for people to sign the petition and to contact Stonnington Councillors - check the following link here:
https://www.stonnington.vic.gov.au/About/About-Council/Mayor-and-Councillors

I'll need to close this petition off later this afternoon (after 4.30pm) so I can send it to Stonnington's CEO and Mayor so the Mayor can table it at tonight's meeting.
The meeting will be livestreamed at the following link from 7pm tonight:
https://webcast.stonnington.vic.gov.au

Change.org only lets me post 1 update per day, so I'll need to post an update on the outcome of tonight's meeting sometime tomorrow & I'll do so as soon as I can.

Thanks again to everyone for their support for this very important issue and for your support of SADS, our no-kill shelter and of our animals and their welfare. Our pets are part of our families. We shouldn't just accept a worse outcome for our animals than what we have now.
