We have an update, and it is now official: the 2G pitch at Steyning Grammar School will NOT be replaced with a 3G pitch. This is thanks to your support with this petition, as well as planning objections from the local community and Sport England.
While this is great news, the replacement 2G pitch will not be ready for use for another four years. In the meantime, Southwick Hockey Club has had to find an alternative pitch to play on. There are very few options in the surrounding areas, and our club had to find this new location entirely on our own without any outside help.
Therefore, we are excited and relieved to announce that we have secured an alternative pitch at St Andrew's CE High School in Worthing, which means our club survives for another season!
