Update on Our Petition: Major Milestone Achieved!
We are excited to announce that we have reached 1,000 signatures on our petition, a major milestone in our campaign to bring about positive change in the Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA). This overwhelming support shows the strength of our collective voice and highlights how many of us are committed to seeing a fairer, more transparent future for soccer in our region.
As we approach the General Meeting of Clubs tonight, where the board will also be present, it's vital that we continue to shed light on the issues that have been kept in the shadows for too long. The practices and toxic culture that have plagued the SSFA must no longer be tolerated. Together, we have the power to call for change and ensure that every club stands together to build a better future for soccer in the Shire.
With the vote for the new SSFA President coming up in November, now is the time to unite and send a clear message to all clubs: we must stand as one to stamp out these harmful practices and demand a system that is transparent, fair, and works in the best interests of everyone involved in the sport.
To the many who have reached out to share their own experiences, we hear you and we thank you. We will continue to enable these situations to come to light and will not stop until we achieve change.
We encourage everyone to remain engaged, continue sharing our petition, and support the cause. This is just the beginning—let’s keep pushing for a better, brighter future for soccer in the Sutherland Shire.
Together, we can make a difference.
