This International Sloth Day is a happy one! 

During a phone meeting yesterday, the owner of the Bethpage Equestrian Center told me she never would've supported Sloth Encounters had she known how sloths suffer for selfies! She promptly canceled Sloth Encounters appearance at her equestrian center and will not allow Sloth Encounters to exhibit there moving forward. 

Shortly thereafter, we heard back from Oyster Bay Code Enforcement who told us they would be visiting the equestrian center today to ensure sloths are not present and intended on giving Wallach yet another summons if they were!

Humane Long Island thanks the Bethpage Equestrian Center, Oyster Bay Code Enforcement, and all of YOU for speaking up for the sloths this International Sloth Day!
