Objection to application 2018/00539/LAPR
Please express view against Esther Worboys, WMC Retail Partners’ Application for an Alcohol and Entertainment Licence relating to the Old Laundry Yard - 17 Pennard Road London W12 8DW
Dear supporters of the Shepherd’s Bush Market businesses,
It has very recently come to the attention of the Shepherd’s Bush Market Tenants’ Association that there is unfortunately an application by Esther Worboys, WMC Retail Partners’ for The Old Laundry Site Area W12 8DW (which neighbours with Shepherd Bush Market), to acquire a licence for entertainment and the sale of alcohol.
The notice of application to the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham for a licence under the Licensing Act 2003 requests for the Old Laundry Yard - 17 Pennard Road London W12 8DW to: -
Sell alcohol from: -
Sunday - Wednesday 09:00 - 20:00
Thursday - Saturday 09:00 - 22:00
And to hold entertainment from: -
Friday 17:00 - 22:00
Saturday 12:00 - 22:00
Sunday 12:00 - 20:00
This application may raise grievous concern for many, especially those who live, work, and visit the Shepherd’s Bush area.
Some of the concerns may relate to the following: -
• Increase of Noise Pollution
• Increase of Antisocial Behaviour
• Increase in Crime
• The Compromise of the Shepherd’s Bush Market businesses
• The Compromise of the Character of Shepherd’s Bush Market
It should be noted that St Mungo’s – Broadway Day Centre for rough sleepers and vulnerably housed people, supports and offers advice around substance misuse, mental health, sexual health, general health advice is located immediately next to Old Laundry Area, and selling alcohol from 09:00 to 22:00 (Thursday to Saturdays) and 09:00 to 20:00 (Sunday to Wednesday) may be viewed as inappropriate and inconsiderate.
Objection to this application may be sent to London Borough Hammersmith & Fulham Licensing Team in writing to the following email address:
