85% of Shepherd’s Bush Market Tenants petition against redeveloper’s planning application - Reference 2017/01887/FUL – (The Old Laundry Site, Rear of Pennard Road, Shepherd’s Bush W12) The overwhelming majority of the Shepherd’s Bush Market Tenants submitted a petition today on the 16th August 2017 to the Hammersmith & Fulham Council objecting to redeveloper’s planning application (Reference 2017/01887/FUL). The redeveloper’s application (involving the neighbouring land to Shepherd’s Bush Market known as the Old Laundry Site, rear of Pennard Road, Shepherd’s Bush W12) is strongly objected to as it is believed to be confused and incoherent, and against the interests of the Shepherd’s Bush Market tenants. It would appear that the proposal is to create a temporary office/social/catering area, which will be difficult to implement in the short term without damaging the current infrastructure. Amongst many inconsistancies and unsubstantiated assertions from the redeveloper, the application raises concern regarding noise pollution, land contamination and inadequate disabled access. It is the view of many that the redeveloper’s proposals will cause short and long term prejudice against the Shepherd’s Bush Market tenants. Objection may still be submitted to the Hammersmith & Fulham Council Planning department before 5.30pm on the Thursday 17th August 2017 by clicking on the following link: http://public-access.lbhf.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=OPNA1IBIMH000
