I spoke at the Chelmsford City Council Policy Board today where they were discussing the policy for revising the local plan.

I gave the following comment on behalf of the campaign, which was developed with input from the 1100 members in our Facebook group.

I gave that comment on behalf of the 1900 people who've signed this petition and aren't being listened to.

Aside from the Council still banging on about the Petition being misleading (maybe they should try reading it, and not just the title), I was told by a Civil "Servant" that despite it being a review, she has no intention of reviewing sites already in the plan (or words to that effect). Only finding new sites so we can build a thousand houses a year.

Someone needs to remind these people that Civil Servants work for Councillors and Councillors work for residents. They think it's the other way around and the Councillors are too weak to fight back.
