We obtained a copy of the permit through an ATIP Request after being denied it through informal channels. The Permit was granted even though it reveals that no survey was done of Species at Risk. The permit does not require any critical habitat offset work, unlike many federal permits which require this of proponents. This salamander habitat will be destroyed with no habitat offsets.  The salamanders, if still alive,  will be relocated to other streams where they will have to compete with other salamanders for limited food.   But, their natural predators will be happy as will Trans Mountain pipeline.
