Iʻm so sorry everyone, I screwed up and forgot to put in the project number which you need in order to submit to the HICRIS system at SHPD. It is 2024PR00592. My apologies for the oversight. You can still submit testimony today and explain that you only now received the project number.
The image above which doesnʻt fit in its entirety shows the Saint Francis Mānoa property. The bright orange marks indicate where Avalon archeology consultant Matt McDermott from Cultural Surveys is proposing to use a backhoe to dig twenty five 25 ft long 3 ft x 3 ft trenches all over the property with some being located in proximity to teh perimeter walls as you can see
By law if any evidence of iwi kūpuna or burial sites is found they have to stop and follow required legal procedures. If you donʻt think they should be digging trenches at all and that you feel this would be a desecration of a historic site in view of the 1910 army map I sent in the previous email update 2 days ago, labelling the property "Temple Heiau" you can say that in your testimony and explain why you feel that way.
Iʻm so sorry, I screwed up and forgot to put in the project number in the update November 7, which you need in order to submit to the HICRIS system at SHPD. It is 2024PR00592. Instructions for using the HICRIS system below
If you would like them to use only a trowel and brush in proximity to the perimeter walls you can say that. You can also ask them to do carbon dating of the walls and demand that they not dismiss the 1910 army map which labels the entire property as a heiau.
DPP has not made a decision on Avalonʻs Pd-H high density housing application and that is not expected to occur until November 13.
I was just able to submit just a few minutes ago to the HICRIS system. so if you tried unsuccessfully to submit anything yesterday after setting up an account, you can still do so. I would suggest you include a brief explanation that you did not have the project number until today because of my mistake.
Again, the Project Number is 2024PR00592
