Dear supporters,

After delivering the results of this petition to deciding executives for their final decision, we’ve received confirmation that decisions are final in SAE Byron Bay closing it’s current campus, despite our efforts and the incredible support of almost 400 people who signed and supported this petition.

This is disappointing news — but your signatures and voices have shown how big of an impact SAE Byron Bay has made, and how much creative spaces and education mean to the community.

So where do we go from here? 

- We’re pushing for investment in regional creative education to fill the gap left by this closure
- We’ll be keeping this petition and campaign active, with redirection towards keeping creative spaces supported
- We’ll be advocating for new lease of the campus land to be taken on with intention of ensuring it’s creative facilities continue to be used with purpose and vision

This isn’t the end, it’s the beginning of making sure the legacy of SAE Byron Bay lives on, and that the creative community here continues to thrive.
