Good morning,
I'm writing to you after you signed the petition to Save Richmond Swimming Pool and said you’d like to be kept up to date on the petition.
First of all, a huge thank you for your support in our campaign to keep this iconic and essential community asset open for generations to come. If you haven’t done so already, please join our Facebook page (search 'Save Richmond Swimming Pool’.
The great news is that the online petition has so far been signed by 2250 people - plus an additional 900 physical signatures collected by our group of campaigners! This means we are able to present the petition to North Yorkshire Council at a meeting on 15th September at Northallerton County Hall at 10am
https://edemocracy.northyorks.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=1306&MId=19339
This meeting is open to the public and if you can, it would be great if you could attend as a show of strength of our campaign.
The petition will be presented by my 7 year old son which we hope will grab the attention of the councillors in attendance. We will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the future of our pool.
If you are able to attend and wish to ask a question, please email it to
democraticservices.east@northyorks.gov.uk
And even if you don’t join the Facebook group, please visit it to see other suggestions of things to do, including email addresses of councillors to contact (and our MP) along with ideas and templates of what to say.
Many thanks once again,
The Save Richmond Swimming Pool team
